From our hands to yours. Every Zaishu piece is one of a kind and pretty special, well, we think so and hope you do too. You see, Zaishu is far more than a brand or a series of interior products, it's a philosophy. We believe that the things we surround ourselves with can be made sustainably without compromising their design or quality. We use plantation-grown timber and organic hemp to make our pieces locally and then print them by hand in our coastal studio using water-based inks.
From our earliest days in 2004, we have treated Zaishu as a project rather than a series of products. We have seen it as a way to involve an amazingly diverse range of local and international communities as well as fellow artists and designers in creating our iconic designs. Zaishu is the richer for having traditional Indian sign-writers, graffiti artists, school kids, tribal artists and many more involved in its designs. The results have been exhibited by numerous international galleries as well as Sydney's Powerhouse Museum which holds several in its permanent collection. We believe that Zaishu truly embodies the best in Australian design and hope you do too.
