It was the Summer of 2007 when Samantha Delman-Caserta and Mark Caserta decided to bring their own unique sense of green living to the suburbs. Samantha and Mark had opened 3r Living in Park Slope, Brooklyn in the Spring of 2004 and quickly became pioneers in green retailing and community activism. Now they wanted to expand their vision beyond New York City’s limits.

As it turned out Samantha’s sister, Tracy Ferdinand, was already focused on the charming village of Maplewood, New Jersey as a perfect fit for 3r Living’s mission. Soon the New Jersey location was up and running.

Now entering its third year in Maplewood, Tracy, Mark and Samantha are pleased and proud to be offering, both in-store and online, a wide selection of quality home décor and lifestyle products carefully selected to adhere to the core principles of 3r Living; Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The folks at 3r Living are truly committed to helping their customers balance green living with a busy modern lifestyle.

Our pleasant and knowledgeable staff is always ready to answer your questions and receive your comments. We have investigated, tested and tried most, if not all, of the items in our store. So whether it’s explaining a company’s commitment to fair trade practices, or comparing effectiveness of laundry soap, all questions and concerns are addressed.
